Overview
This Privacy Policy applies to the Paisa Now mobile app created by Paisa Now Developer as a free service. The app is intended for personal budgeting, expense tracking, debt tracking, savings planning, and optional AI-assisted finance features.
Paisa Now keeps your financial records local on your device by default. The app does not automatically send your transactions, debts, budgets, savings goals, or local history to a server.
Information Collection and Use
The app may process records you enter, such as transaction amounts, categories, notes, dates, debts, payments, budgets, and savings goals. These records are stored locally on your device for app functionality.
The app does not collect precise device location. Network providers may receive standard technical information needed to deliver a response, such as IP address and request metadata.
AI Transaction Parser
The AI transaction parser is optional and only runs after you explicitly agree to AI data sharing in the app. Before consent, the app does not send requests to /api/parse-transaction.
When you choose to parse a transaction, Paisa Now sends only the text you typed for that parser request, the selected currency, and available category names to the Finance Input API parser hosted at finance-input-api-production.up.railway.app.
The purpose is only to turn the text you submitted into a draft transaction that you can review, edit, save, or discard.
AI Finance Chat
AI Finance Chat is optional and only runs after you explicitly agree to AI data sharing in the app. Before consent, the app does not send requests to /api/chat/create or /api/chat/request.
When you use AI Finance Chat, Paisa Now sends your message text, a server chat_id used for chat continuity, and a fixed system_prompt to OpenRouter Chat proxy, a third-party AI chat service hosted on Railway at freeopenrouterchat-production.up.railway.app.
The fixed system_prompt tells the assistant to provide short, practical general advice on budgeting, saving, and paying off debt, and not to provide regulated financial, tax, or legal advice.
The purpose is only to generate personal-finance chat responses and general budgeting, saving, and debt-payoff recommendations based on the messages you choose to send. The chat service does not receive automatic access to your local app records.
Third-Party Service Providers
The Finance Input API parser and OpenRouter Chat proxy act as third-party processors or service providers for the optional AI features described above. They process submitted data only to provide the requested parser or chat response.
The Service Provider requires these services to apply the same or equivalent protection to submitted data and to avoid independent use of the information beyond providing the requested service.
If the AI chat backend stores conversation history, it may use the server chat_id for session continuity so future chat messages can be answered in the same conversation.
Consent and Revocation
You can decline AI data sharing and continue using local finance tracking features. Declining consent blocks AI parser and AI chat requests.
You can revoke AI data sharing at any time in the app Settings. Revocation resets the local chat_id and blocks future parser and chat network requests until you agree again.
Security
The Service Provider uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards designed to protect information processed through the app and optional service providers.
Do not send sensitive account numbers, passwords, tax records, or legal documents through AI chat or the parser.
Data Retention
Local finance records remain on your device until you edit, delete, reset, or uninstall the app. If an optional AI provider retains server-side chat history, retention is handled by that provider for service continuity and operations.

Children
The Service Provider does not knowingly solicit data from or market to children under 13. If you believe a child provided personal information through the app, contact paisanow@gmail.com so appropriate action can be taken.
Changes
This Privacy Policy may be updated from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page. Continued use of the app after an update means you accept the updated policy.
This Privacy Policy is effective as of June 13, 2026.
